Hair transplantation can be described as a treatment method that offers long-lasting results for hair loss. The hair transplant procedure we perform at HC Polyclinic can be defined as follows; it is a microsurgical application carried out in a hospital surgical environment. The concept of 'microsurgical procedure' means this: unlike traditional surgical methods, hair transplantation can be performed with a less invasive technique.
The hair transplant procedure is a preferred treatment option for individuals experiencing what is medically known as androgenetic alopecia, commonly referred to as 'male pattern hair loss'. In addition, individuals with hair loss due to scar tissue or various hair conditions may also be considered suitable for hair transplantation at HC Polyclinic following a medical evaluation.
Generally, individuals between the ages of 20 and 60 may become candidates for the hair transplant procedure following a medical examination and clinical assessment. The preparation and recovery process may vary depending on individual circumstances and typically covers an average program of 3 days. The duration of the procedure depends on the number of grafts to be transplanted and the person's specific needs; it is generally completed within an average of 6 to 8 hours. To be able to respond promptly to any possible complications, it is preferable that the procedure be carried out in a fully equipped hospital. The hair transplant application is performed by a team consisting of a specialist physician and experienced medical technicians. The final appearance of hair growth may take approximately 6 to 18 months to emerge. From the day after the procedure, the patient may experience a gradual hair growth process up to the 18th month.
1. Consultation: The stage in which the physician prepares a personalized treatment plan for the patient and designs a suitable hairline.
2. Preparation: At this stage, the treatment area is sterilized and local anesthesia is applied.
3. Extraction: The process of individually harvesting hair grafts from the patient's donor area.
4. Recipient Site Creation: The stage in which the natural direction of existing terminal hairs is followed to open the recipient sites.
5. Implantation: The stage in which the extracted grafts are placed into the recipient area at an angle consistent with the natural direction of the hair.
6. Post-Procedure Applications: This stage includes dressing of the transplanted area and PRP applications that may be recommended to support the healing process.
7. Post-Procedure Care & Hair Washing: The hair washing stage, recommended to be carried out under the physician's guidance for approximately 15 days. During this period, both the donor and recipient areas remain sensitive, so the washing process must be performed with great care.
